Rodney looked better here than he did on Larry King Live after brain surgery. He was still doing stand-up and he wrote this amazing book which I read in 2009. It took me 4 years to find his book. He is simply one of the funniest comedians who ever walked the planet. He opened the doors for other comics too. That to me was totally cool!!! His humor was so universal too. I Get No Respect can be used so many ways. I have so MUCH respect for Rodney Dangerfield!! RIP!!!!

Rodney was always awesome at his club in NYC. After he performed he would go to his apartment above the club, and return shortly wearing boxers and a t-shirt with an open robe and hang around joking with the people around the bar. Lots of laughs.
sad.. he looked like he was on the way out. Never hid the fact he did drugs. He lived his life to the max and said the hell with diet and exercise

Yeah but I assume he meant an actor would play him. I can’t think of an actor that would suit this role right now. I would choose a stand up though. Seth Rogen also or I dunno… maybe thats the hold up
He died later in 2004, so my guess would be they were never able to complete it.
